STEELY DEAN
Steely Dean is a jazz-rock collective from Ashland, Oregon, bringing the sophisticated grooves and sharp musicianship of Steely Dan to life with a fresh spirit to these classic tunes. Formed in 2024, the group is led by keyboardist and vocalist Dean Angermeier (“Steely Dean”) and features a powerhouse lineup including bassist Tarik Ragab (Raze the Maze), guitarist Matt Blackett (Evertune Guitars), drummer/vocalist Eric Pollard (Actual Wolf), vocalist Jenni Abdo, and saxophonists Rico Salas and Gordon Greenley.
Known for their tight arrangements, jazz-infused solos, and dynamic live shows, Steely Dean has quickly built a reputation as one of Southern Oregon’s most exciting ensembles—blending rock, funk, and jazz energy into an experience that’s both musically deep and irresistibly fun.
